根據德國之聲的相關報導指出，apt 27是中國某駭客組織的別名，他們從2010年就開始活躍，并不斷試圖竊取與政府、國防及科技產業的相關資訊。臺灣電腦網路危機處理暨協調中心(twcert/cc)也表示，apt 27正利用網路勒索攻擊全球游戲廠商。
近日全臺多家7-11電腦螢幕顯示「戰爭販子裴洛西滾出臺灣」，而臺鐵新左營車站的螢幕上更顯示「老巫婆竄訪臺灣」，且許多政府機構也不斷受到ddos攻擊，引發民眾高度關注。
網路安全教育研究組織「sans科技研究所」（sans technology institute）研究部門負責人伍瑞克（johannes ullrich）對此表示，許多證據證明網路攻擊來自中國ip，但這些行為較像是展現「愛國心」，與平時官方駭客執行的活動并不相關。
